    FUS, Marsh Powersports, HondaTeam

    Marsh Powersports has always been passionate about Motocross Racing, its where the love of Powersports started for founders Gareth and Anthony. From a young age racing was a family affair, with the brothers attending local race meets, training to get better. This passion then turned into a business when the brothers started to purchase and sell used and eventually new bikes. Becoming Marshmx, and then the Marsh Powersports we are today.

     

    In 2016, we were approached by Mike Keenan about the possibility of coming together to form a race team, and from that day forward we have been a championship winning team!

    Each year we have grown, developed our team and continued to win. And we have no plan to stop winning at time soon!

    Shane Carless headed to the iconic Weston Beach Race with podium ambitions after narrowly missing out last year with a 4th-place finish.Sporting fresh blue FXR kit, Shane was easy to spot in the sea of bikes as he led the pack around the first sector aboard his brand-new FUS Racing Team Husqvarna 450. Showcasing phenomenal speed and determination, he eventually found himself passed by Bolt through the track’s most extreme section.Unfortunately, Shane’s race took a cruel turn early on while in second place when a mechanical issue caused his engine to overheat resulting in coolant loss, forcing him into the pits for a refill. Refusing to give up, he returned to the track and charged his way rapidly back through the pack, demonstrating blistering pace and potential to challenge at the front.Sadly, the problem returned, bringing his race to an early and frustrating end.Understandably bitterly disappointed after such a promising start, Shane showed exactly what he is capable of when everything is working in his favour.     Having finished 4th in 2025, Shane Carless travels to this weekend’s big Weston Beach race absolutely determined and desperate to move up the standings and claim the ultimate prize of a coveted podium place!Shane has been fully focussed and preparing very hard for this one, finishing his warm-up with that 3rd overall at last Sunday’s Weymouth Beach motocross.Thanks to FUS Marsh, Shane has certainly been presented with the tools for the job in hand and he will be campaigning a very tasty looking brand new Husqvarna , expertly prepared and ready to get the business done!     The 2026 Weymouth beach motocross event proved to be very successful for the FUS Marsh riders both present and future.Current FUS Marsh pilot Shane Carless travelled up from Wales to bag 3rd overall as Dan Thornhill who’s about to become an official FUS Marsh pilot early in 2027 finished 2nd overall. In the first of two tough moto’s on the Dorset beach, Shane hit the front early on and led for a couple of laps as Dan slotted into 3rd. Both lads were then passed by eventual winner French rider Adrien Petit. For several laps Shane and Dan then battled it out for the right to finish runner-up with Dan getting the verdict.Moto two and Shane was right in the mix early on holding 2nd place behind Todd Kellett before being passed by Petit the eventual overall winner. After starting in 10th, by lap 11 Dan had come through and earn 3rd in the process pushing Shane back to a 4th place finish.This weekend Shane tackles the Weston Beach race whilst Dan goes to France for round one of their National beach race series. ...     It’s the Weymouth Beach motocross this coming Sunday and FUS Marsh rider Shane Carless and new signing Dan Thornhill will both be competing. Shane was the winner of this event in 2025 and will certainly be looking to produce another big performance as he also prepares for next weekends big Weston Beach race.Although having recently signed for FUS, Dan will actually be competing under the Chambers Racing team for this one and until early 2027 as he honours contractual agreements.
