Race Team

FUS, Marsh Powersports, Husqvarna Team

Marsh Powersports has always been passionate about Motocross Racing, its where the love of Powersports started for founders Gareth and Anthony. From a young age racing was a family affair, with the brothers attending local race meets, training to get better. This passion then turned into a business when the brothers started to purchase and sell used and eventually new bikes. Becoming Marshmx, and then the Marsh Powersports we are today.

In 2016, we were approached by Mike Keenan about the possibility of coming together to form a race team, and from that day forward we have been a championship winning team!

Each year we have grown, developed our team and continued to win. And we have no plan to stop winning at time soon!

Although they are still fine tuning the bikes to get maximum performance, the FUS Marsh Racing Team were rightly delighted by the performance of their riders last weekend! Contesting the opening round of the Acerbis Amateur Nationals at Haverigg in Cumbria, four out of five team members finished on the podium! In MX1, James Dodd produced a typically determined and consistent set of results to earn 2nd overall with a 2/2/3/2/3 scorecard. James was joined in this class by Jake Preston who eventually finished 10th overall. The weekend certainly started strongly for Jake with 5/3/4 results. On day two though a couple of mechanical issues meant that he could not compete in the last of his five moto's.Meanwhile Henry Williams was in fantastic form in MX2 going onto eventually bag the overall win. Along the way Henry scored three moto victories and a stunning last moto ride when he came from almost last right up to 2nd.Defending his Acerbis Amateur Nationals 125cc crown, Damon Strydom started his campaign with a solid, big points scoring performance. Damo reeled off 2/3/3/2 placings before storming to victory in the last moto of the weekend. That meant Damo was 2nd overall but once that bike is fully singing you know he will be pushing further onwards and upwards! Finally showing his undoubted class, Phil Mercer won two Vets Over 50's moto's on his way to 2nd overall. Those wins were sandwiched in between 2/3/2 scores. Despite a couple of crashes and a back injury, Phil was still on the podium with a hard earned 2nd overall. Well done and congratulations to all of the team, it's now onto round 2 of the series at Hawkstone Park. All of the 2024 FUS Marsh Racing Team will be in action this weekend as they make the long journey North to Haverigg in Cumbria and contest the opening round of the Acerbis Amateur Nationals.Proving it's undoubted popularity, in this series there's certainly no need for combined classes as the Acerbis Amateur Nationals entry list is absolutely stacked and overflowing! James Dodd and Jake Preston compete in MX1, Henry Williams MX2, Damon Strydom defends his 125cc crown and Phil Mercer goes for it in the Vets Over 50's.Let's hope the lads can get off to an absolute flyer during round one at Haverigg as they start their quest for 2024 honours! Good luck Team!Honda Motorcycles UK Off RoadMarsh PowersportsGeartec RacingRS MotorhomesK and N Surfacing LtdAnja Potze Fine Jewellery LtdMotoverdeMultitek PerformanceGalfer Moto Rock OilFXR Moto EuropeMichelinSpiralGFXStrikeSeats.euTechnical Solution WP SuspensionSidi Sports UK ... FUS Marsh Racing Team
Although their main goals for 2024 are chasing glory in both the Acerbis Amateur Nationals and Bridgestone British Masters, the FUS Marsh Racing Team decided to get in some extra race practice last weekend. James Dodd, Jake Preston and Henry Williams all travelled to the Foxhills circuit and contest the opening round of the Fastest 40 series. Both James and Jake were in action on Saturday in the Apico Pro MX1 class. After qualifying in 13th place, James scored a very respectable 11/12 in the two moto's for 12th overall. Still adapting to the big 450 power unit, Jake qualified in 22nd before going 21/21 for 22nd overall. For Henry it was Sunday racing and three moto's in the new Honda Cup series. Despite still suffering with an ankle injury, Henry really got stuck in qualifying 4th then remaining consistent throughout the meeting. Bagging 5/4/4 that gave him a strong 4th overall.Well done to the FUS team and it's now on to the opening round of the Acerbis this weekend in Cumbria! FUS Marsh Racing Team
Three of the FUS Marsh Racing Team are in race action this weekend as the Fastest 40 MX series finally kicks off. The venue is none other than the iconic former GP circuit, Foxhill Moto Parc, situated near Swindon in Wiltshire. Both James Dodd and Jake Preston will be going in the tough Pro MX1 class which will be decided over two moto's on Saturday. On Sunday it's then Henry Williams turn to go racing. Henry will get three motos as he competes in the Honda Cup class. Although the Honda Cup as failed to attract competitors interest in the AMCA, it's a different story for the Fastest 40 MX event as Henry will face a stacked field!Good luck to all of the team this weekend. If you’ve been here before, you may of noticed something different!

We have recently carried out a business re-brand, we were formally known as Marshmx.

Over the last 13 years we have been trading, a lot has changed.

Our range has diversified, our business has evolved. Therefore it was time our branding reflected that.
